bronze serpent

The concept of this handbag design was influenced by the Wat Rong Khun temple in Thailand. The wrap-around, multi-purpose body bag came from the shape of a serpent and stories of desire and temptation. The design features an abstract snake skin textile print with linked snakes running vertically.

sea love

Tossed and half-drop textile repeats comprised of hand-rendered motifs inspired  by Guillermo Del Toro’s “Shape of Water”. The motifs are generated through the use of floral, conversational, and geometric paintings. Drawing ideas  from  the   visual  and conceptual themes throughout the film, this  print set is meant to illustrate  complex romances.

archetype

The concept of this project was to visually demonstrate through a collection, the archetype female characters in film and television, with particular focus on the tropes; mother, wife, virgin, and whore. This project began with researching and developing mood boards for each archetype that both contradicted and stereotyped these familiar cinematic characters. This resulted in multi-layered garments with varying fabrics and textures to emulate dynamics and versatility that should be shown in female characters, illustrating  vulnerability, power, loyalty, sex appeal, and intelligence all at once through a digital fashion illustration.
